2026 Young Leaders. Erasmus in Brussels

La semana del 16 al 20 de marzo, tres alumnas y tres alumnos de 2º Bachillerato viajaron a Bruselas dentro del programa Young Leaders, junto con nuestros socios de Croacia, Italia y Francia.

Throughout the project, we visited several major European institutions, as well as buildings of notable importance to the history and culture of the EU

Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet other students from Italy, France, and Croatia, with whom we had a fantastic time.

To top it all off, we made the most of our trip by enjoying all that Brussels and Bruges had to offer. Bruselas y Brujas

European institutions

Parlamentarium

Our journey began with a visit to the Parlamentarium, the European Parliament’s visitor centre. Inside, we were handed a tablet and headphones, which provided an audiovisual guide and further context about the various exhibits

We learned about European history, exploring the events that led to the creation of the European Union and the impact it has had from its inception to the present day.

European Parliament Hemicycle

The following day, we were able to visit the highlight of the trip, the Parliament Hemicycle.

We learned how the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from each country are elected, what their roles are, and how they operate.; therefore, we comprehended the importance and impact of the European Parliament on all EU citizens

House of European History

The last stop of our instituntional visit was the House of European History.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.’

This visit across the entirety of European history made us aware of the various crises and disasters that were overcomed thanks to collaboration and unity, leading to the stability we experience today.»

Cultural Exchange

One of the core values of Erasmus+ is getting to know fellow students from all over Europe. This year, we had the opportunity to meet students from France, Italy, and Croatia, allowing us to connect and discover our respective cultures.

Cultural Visits

Last but not least, throughout our journey, we had the opportunity to go sightseeing. We visited main attractions such as the Manneken Pis, the Bourse de Bruxelles, and the Grand-Place, and we even explored the city of Bruges on our last day.
